Eddie B, agree completely. If we had Ginge in the box defending rather than Benni shit attempt at a header things may have been different. People focus on Scaloni's clearance despite the cheating cunt tactics of Carragher and Cissie.

Trust us to sign the only Argie that wants to play fairly.

What gets forgotten because of the blind hatred of Dailly (not suggesting that's you, but it is for many) is that he'd come on an done that job in quite a few games that season - if we were winning, he'd come on and shut the game down.

I can't say there wasn't sentiment involved, but it wasn't ONLY sentiment. No way. And Dailly did a decent job - let's not forget that it was the rather more mobile NRC that was meant to be on Gerrard.

2 of my MATES got in the stadium as on call plumbers... hid in the bogs until they started letting people in... one got caught but me other mate managed to see the whole game... three other MATES were watching in a boozer a stones throwaway from the stadium... when the doors opened 10 mins from the end they and a load of others legged it through and managed to watch the last 10 mins and all of extra time and pens

I still don't really understand why Pardew brought on Sheringham with 10 mins to go and not James Collins. We're defending a one goal lead, why put another striker on, when you've got a centre half on the bench?

One of the greatest weekends ever to one of the greatest FA cup finals ever... we went up in the hope that we might celebrate us scoring a goal... so to draw with them was incredible ... we stayed in Merthr... the bloke whose hotel we stayed at came and picked us (10 of us) up about midnight... went back in the bar and about 30 locals gave us a round of applause ... we got all the Taffy cunts a beer and had a great evening with them... went to every round that season and is up there with my fav seasons ever... real happy times

That was me! Bezzina sat up all night making them to sell. He asked me to hold the carrier bag while he went to the toilet so I handed them all out for free.

He was fuming!

Haven't watched it since and found all the snippets of it during the GERRARD is Leaving wankfest extremely painful.
And intensified my hatred of fucking Liverpool.

Agree re the changes. Fletcher should have finished the job and if you wanted to add more defence at the end someone could have sat in with explicit instructions to crowd out Gerrard. He was always the only threat at the end.

Did I say I fucking hate Liverpool?

Re: 2006 FA Cup Final Cardiff
If this was CHARLTON ATHLETIC, and I supported them, I'd say that it was my most favourite game ever wever...

But this is not CHARLTON ATHLETIC... We are West Ham United and we haven't won a trophy in 35 years which is a fucking joke for a club with our level of support plus some of the fine players we've had in that period (of course, there's been some shit at times as well)...

We blew our chance of this ending our trophy drought and I found this day bitterly disappointing... Of course, Liverpool were favourites but we were no mugs ourselves and we fucked-up a 2-0 lead...

We also had 30 minutes of extra-time to defeat a side who were dead on their feet after an exhausting season where they played many, many more games than us - and we failed to do so...

Big opportunity blown that day... Bitterly disappointing...
